The Minister of Economy, Trade and Energy Mr. Dritan Prifti has started his first working day in a meeting with the businesses at the American Chamber of Commerce. “I started my work with the American Chamber of Commerce as a strong partner of the Ministry of Economy and an organization that has been distinguished between others. I brought to the American Chamber the program of the Government just approved in the Parliament, in order that you can monitor us though all our mandate how will we keep the promises we made to the business “– said the Minister of Economy Mr. Dritan Prifti.

The dialog of the Minister and the President of the Chamber Mr. Philip Bay was very constructive and was focused in the strengthening of relations between businesses and the central administration. Mr. Bay asked the Minister of Economy for more opportunities for a constructive dialog and he got the promise that every important issues the American Chamber will raise, he will find the time to organize a meeting within 24 hours. They also talked for a better and effective functioning of the Business Consultative Council and the Union of the Chambers of Commerce.

Also, the Minister informed the press about the program of the Ministry he will lead through this mandate. One of the first objectives is the structural reform of the economy sector to facilitate business activity. Albinvest, a business promoting agency, will change to One Stop Shop Agency, helping foreign investors in Albania. Albinvest will be the only agency for every question the foreign investors will have. But not only, within next 2 years will the Tirana Stock Exchange be established for the first time. This can considerably help local and foreign businesses.
