Tirana mayor meets AmCham member businesses

Tirana City Hall’s cooperation with the business community in all its projects and policy development not only helps create a positive climate for businesses but also improves the lives of the city’s residents. That’s why the American Chamber of Commerce in Albania invited Tirana Mayor Lulzim Basha to a working lunch, where for 30 minutes Mr. Basha presented several projects that Tirana City Hall feels require the attention of the business community. The mayor expressed his ideas on urban planning, employment policies, simplified licensing procedures and a liberal tax system.

AmCham Vice President Genc Boga presented Mayor Basha with the chamber’s Business Agenda during the meeting, asking that this working platform for AmCham be used to establish a dialogue between the chamber and Tirana City Hall.

When it comes to doing business in Tirana, Mr. Basha promised to make all business-related procedures easier, drawing attention to the one-stop-shop program Tirana City Hall plans to establish. It is expected to end long waiting times for businesses dealing with the city’s bureaucracy.
