Facilitative fiscal  policies for Women in business 

WoBAC held the next meeting which was focused on the topic of drafting facilitative fiscal policies for Businesswomen. A Special guest in this activity was the director of Integration and Foreign Relations in the Ministry of Finance, Mrs. Sonila Metohu, who exchanged different opinions with committee members around the developing of policies that interest women in business. ”Every year when the fiscal packet is drafted are taken into consideration proposals from business and such a policy should be specifically folowed up for women engaged in business”- declared Mrs. Metohu. AmCham members directed different questions regarding the legislation and the real implementation  of laws and fiscal policies to Mrs Metohu.

In this meeting was also present the representative of the USAID project Mrs. Anila Bashllari, who spoke on the research work this project has undertaken, to analize in detail businesses loss of revenue from non reimbursement of VAT and how business itslef should make the most of this information. Durig the meeting was also discussed on the new financial instruments that are being utilized to finance businesses like Leasing and/ or Factoring, forms that should be introduced and made known to all business owners.

This WoBAC meeting also served as a networking event for the members. The meeting was held in Hotel Doro, which is owned by one of the members of WoBAC committee Mrs. Anila Llakmani, who generously supported this event.
