AmCham organizes the 11th Job Fair
American Chamber of Commerce in Albania organized the 11th Job Fair. In this event participated about 21 prestigious companies in the market which offered around 120 positions. Mr. Kastriot Sulka, Deputy Minister of the Labor Ministry and Mr. Andrew Maybrook, USAID Program Officer gave their short addresses to the participants in the Opening Ceremony.
The Job Fair has become an example which is applied as a format by the Regional Employment Agencies, Public and Private Universities, and other Chambers of Commerce.
This has shown that the experience gained by this Fair has not only served AmCham but also for other organizations which understand that this is an efficient form of employment which leads toward the institutionalization of employment.
This employment format which that puts the employer and the employee face to face, is not a format exclusive to AmCham Albania, but a very well-known way of employment applied by all the American Chambers of Commerce in the world. AmCham used this format for the first time in Albania 11 years ago with the hope that it would help the recently graduated students to find themselves in a new job market.
“You can meet here today, the most prestigious companies in the country which have vacancies that require professionalism, experience, strong references and above all candidates with serious commitment. The competition for these vacancies is getting ever strong thanks to these indicators that have become necessary for a prestigious job position that are essential for these companies” – said Mrs. Floreta Luli-Faber, Executive Director of American Chamber of Commerce in Albania.
