Broumis: What you need to know about successful businesses
The American Chamber of Commerce in Albania organized a working meeting with Vodafone Albania Director General Haris Broumis and the AmCham Young Professionals Committee.
The meeting is part of a series AmCham has set up for young professionals to offer networking opportunities and direct links to large companies operating in Albania.
AmCham Executive Director Floreta Luli-Faber opened the meeting introducing Mr. Broumis to AmCham’s work over the past 11 years to serve young professionals that have graduated abroad and in Albania.
The conversation between the young professionals and the Vodafone general director focused on the history of the development of telecommunications since Vodafone entered the Albanian market up to today’s latest developments.
The use of 3G technology, increased call traffic and customer relations have allowed the company to remain successful in a market where competition has grown and prices have decreased.
Vodafone, said Mr. Broumis, is still a young company, not only in Albania but globally as well. It is like a teenager, he said. That’s why the company’s philosophy has been to encourage and support innovative ideas.
The meeting with the Vodafone Albania director general was only one of a series AmCham will host with the Young Professionals Committee, which three years after its founding has brought together a large group of young workers interested in a business career. |
